DESCRIPTION:In conjunction with Kirsteen Campell Women’s Health Coach and Trainer\, and Freda Cuffe the Lead Practitioner for Fertility and Women’s Health at Peppy\, the NRS Dounreay Gender Balance Network is pleased to share details of our next event which focuses of women’s health. \nJoin us for an open and informative teams session on gynaecological and reproductive health – topics that impact many women but are often misunderstood or left unspoken. \nWe’ll explore: \n\nWhat’s ‘normal’ and what isn’t\nHow these issues can affect women’s daily lives and careers\nPractical tips for managing symptoms and supporting wellbeing.\n\nThis event isn’t just for women who experience health issues – if you work with or manage women\, your awareness and understanding can make a real difference. \nLet’s break the stigma\, share knowledge\, and build a workplace where everyone can thrive. \nPlease send an email to gbn@dounreay.nrservices.uk to book your space and receive a Teams invite. \n\n\n\nSpeaker Bio’s \nKirsteen Campbell is a women’s health coach & trainer based in Caithness.  She has a huge amount of lived experience having lived with Endometriosis for 30 years\, dealing with lots of challenges along the way including premature babies\, miscarriage\, young hysterectomy\, chemical menopause\, peri menopause and a surgical menopause.  Kirsteen is a well-known advocate around women’s health at both local and national level.  Kirsteen is the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) women’s voices representative for Scotland and sits on various other networks.  Kirsteen is also involved in the writing of the women’s health plan for Government. \nFreda Cuffe is the Lead Practitioner for Fertility and Women’s Health at Peppy\, bringing with her more than 20 years of experience in the field. Throughout her career\, she has worked as a Clinical Nurse Manager in a range of prestigious units across London and the South East. Freda has developed a strong expertise in ultrasound\, fertility preservation\, and women’s health education\, with a particular passion for empowering individuals with the knowledge and support they need to make informed decisions about their health and fertility. \nHer extensive background includes working in both clinical and leadership roles\, where she has been instrumental in delivering high-quality care\, overseeing patient management\, and leading teams in fertility and women’s health services. Freda is committed to advancing the field through both direct patient care and her focus on educating others\, making her a trusted resource for patients and colleagues alike. \n

DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with NWS\, WiN Cumbria are excited to bring you a two part event titled Women in Waste. \nPart One -Tours available (1pm – 3pm) \nParticipate in a site tour of the LLWR (Low Level Waste Repository) at Drigg\, There are two tours available with the first commencing at 13:00 or a second at 13:45. \nBoth tours will be starting from the NWS offices at Pelham House (Pelham Drive\, Calderbridge\, Cumbria\, CA20 1DB) and will be hosted by Martin Walkingshaw (Chief Operating Officer) & Mike Piggott (Director of Site Operations) and will include an introduction to NWS. \nYou will be required to complete and submit a visitors form to allow access and you will need to bring photographic ID with you on the day. \nPart Two – Evening Event (4.30 – 7pm) \nAn evening event hosted by Adrienne Kelbie (Chair of Nuclear Waste Services) exploring the career path of fellow colleagues.
